The Settlers: Mini (TSM) is a multiplayer turn-based web strategy game based on the popular PC strategy franchise. The Settlers: Mini puts you in control of one of the many families of Settlers in your Settlement. Each player individually steers the destiny of his Family of Settlers, but the success or failure of their overall Settlement will be determined by the cooperative efforts of all Families in the Settlement.

Starting Your Family and Settlement

Once you login with your Ubi.com username and password you're ready to start your very own Family! You need only register your affiliation, and you will be head of your own four-member Family. Upon creation, users may create a new Settlement, may enter a password to join a Private Settlement to which they have been invited, or they may randomly join a Public Settlement.

Your Resources

On the left-hand side of the main page you can visually see the pools of Resources available to harvest, gather, mine, hunt, etc. Every type of Resource has a bar indicating how abundant that particular Resource is. Red indicates that Resource is scarce. Yellow indicates that there are less than abundant amounts of that Resource. Green indicates that there is a large quantity of that Resource. Abundance and scarcity will be greatly affected by the seasons as well as overuse of the Resources.

At the top of the page you will find a running tally of how many processed and unprocessed goods your Settlement has.

Settlement Tools

At the lower left-hand section of the page you will find six buttons that upon mouse-over are labeled from left to right: "Settler Tasks", "Mayorial Planning" (to be used by the current Mayor only), "Politics", "Marketplace" (to be used by the current Mayor only), "Settlement", and "Family".

The Mayor's Tools

The Mayor dramatically impacts the success or failure of the Settlement. The creator of the Settlement will be that Settlement's Mayor initially. Thereafter the Settlement will vote the next Mayor in. The Mayor's responsibilities and special abilities include Mayorial Planning, trading via the Marketplace, and setting the tax rate for the Settlement.

If a player has not logged in for at least the duration of a complete Mayoral cycle, that player may be kicked from the Settlement. A kicked player resets to 4 settlers and no home, but retains any badges and historical stats that may be used in another Settlement. In Public Settlements, no player can serve as Mayor for more than 2 consecutive terms in a row. Private Settlements do not have this limitation.

Electing Your Mayor

If it is an Election Turn, every Family can vote for a new Mayor. Otherwise, Settlers may vote to Impeach the Mayor.

If a Mayor is Impeached, then that player's actions are removed from their current Settlement, their Family is reset, and they may select or create a new Settlement as if they were a new player. If the Mayor abandons a Settlement, the next Turn automatically becomes an Election Turn.

A Mayor can be Impeached (demoted) by a majority vote by Population of 51% of the Population of players who have logged in over the last 24 hours. (This enables a Mayor with 51% of the Settlement to be removed if he stops playing, for instance). An Impeached Mayor does not get to vote in the next 2 terms.

Leaderboards

Ultimately each Settlement is cooperating together to compete with other Settlements. To keep track of these achievements Leaderboards have been put in place. The achievements are tracked on Settlement Leaderboards, Family Leaderboards, Mayorial Leaderboards. Earning a spot on a Leaderboard will award the Settlement or Family a Badge for doing so that will appear on their Settlement or Family page.
